France vs Albania: Anthem mix-up in Paris at European Qualifier

Until they faced France on Saturday at a Euro 2020 Qualifier in a embarrassing mix-up, the wrong national anthem has been played for Albania.
Players seemed bemused as they realised that it was the incorrect anthem – Andorra’s anthem, based on UEFA’s official site – with camera images showing fans that were Albanian making expressions in demonstration.
France coach Didier Deschamps spoke with Albania coach Edoardo Reja as referee Jess Gil Manzano waited a few minutes for the right anthem to be played at the Stade de France.
Then, once the proper anthem was going to be played there was another embarrassing incident as the stadium announcer apologised to“Armenia’s fans“ and called on fans to honor the“Armenia national anthem“ before realising his glaring mistake and stating Albania.
The next competitor of france is Andorra live on Sky Sports.
Deschamps provided a public apology as Albania wouldn’t start the game with no error being rectified within the anthem mix-up which caused a delay.
„I apologised to the seat along with the trainer,“ Deschamps informed a press conference.
„It’s something that should not occur, but it occurred. I know the job of the Albanians also it is logical that people waited until the Albanians could have their anthem before that game.“
When the Euro 2020 Qualifier began, France eased.
