WWE talking points: The weekly winners and losers in the world of sports entertainment

We’re less than two weeks live on Sky Sports Box Office, and a card is constructing.
We know who will struggle for the Universal name along with the women’s name, three more names dropped in the race to become King of the Ring, and there were moments on both the Raw and SmackDown this week which could have enormous implications come September 15.
Good Week
Fans could have indicated that the SmackDown women’s champion as the underdog heading into her title defence against Charlotte. Not anymore.
Bayley spectacularly turned Becky Lynch in the end of Raw, rekindling her friendship with Sasha Banks in style. And’The Boss’ returned the favour.
In her favour, The Hugger keeping the blue belt’s likelihood have changed dramatically with Banks in her corner.
Chad Gable
Gable has returned in fashion to SmackDown, defeating Shelton Benjamin and Andrade to reach the King of the Ring tournament’s finals.
It is a for somebody who spent a spell buried at the SmackDown roster.
Conquer Elias week and Gable is heading to Clash of Champions.
Every name on the card in NXT Takeover: Cardiff ought to be applauded for a fantastic event last weekend.
Fans in the Motorpoint Arena in the Welsh funds were treated to some epic battles as two names changed hands, Tyler Bate came within a whisker of toppling NXT UK winner Cesaro and WALTER produced a guest appearance.
Given the enormous variety of talent on the roster, it is no surprise that NXT UK’s prevalence is increasing at a speed that is quick. The rise but even with his absence in Takeover, the series was one to savour has been spearheaded by pete Dunne.
It may only serve to reinforce the case for the UK to point a major pay-per-view occasion.
Braun Strowman
The Dragon could become a double champion when it was confirmed he will face his co-tag team winner Seth Rollins to the WWE Universal name.
Strowman has had opportunities to shoot the red strap before, falling near the likes of Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar.
Could this the moment he?
Bad Week
Daniel Bryan
Bryan had been WWE Champion with the ominous Erick Rowan watching his spine. No more holding the belt, so he felt that the wrath of Rowan this week, who turned his ally at the end of SmackDown.
Without a competitor in Clash of Champions and now seemingly flying solo, the Bearded One is cutting out a very lone figure over the grim brand.
The question is What’s next?
Ali suffered what some would consider a sudden defeat in this SmackDown bracket’s semi-finals to Elias after overcoming Buddy Murphy in a King of the Ring past week.
It is a setback for a celebrity who was starting to make significant strides. This is only a temporary blip for your high-flyer.
Becky Lynch
‘The Man’ has been flying in recent months but Bayley’s deception will create a concern for the Lasskicker heading at Clash of Champions into her title defence against Sasha Banks.
Becky needs to keep should the champion of the SmackDown women decide to make her presence known, although one on one, Banks is stiff competition.
