Euro 2020 Qualifiers: Scotland lose Kenny McLean for Russia game

Scotland have Dropped Kenny McLean to their European Championship qualifier against Russia in Moscow.

After failing to overcome a minor injury problem, the midfielder has returned.
Manager Steve Clarke, who dropped McLeans Norwich team-mate Grant Hanley and Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack at the weekend, said:It is always disappointing when you lose players from the squad and overnight we have lost Kenny McLean as well.
It is another setback but a excellent chance for someone else. Its part and parcel of global football.
Clarke, whos also lacking Scott McTominay via suspension, added:Its always disappointing to get rid of a participant so late in this week.
After Kenny reported, he had a tiny niggle – its not correct for me to state what it is, thats for his team to work out – we were all pretty confident that Kenny would create it, however the previous 24 hours it did not get any better, but it really got somewhat worse.
So we made the choice to let Kenny to return to Norwich.
The Scotland manager has given up with Scotland, on automatic qualification nine things with four matches away Russia.
Clarke is constructing for the play-offs in March but he will not sacrifice the capacity to get results to experiment.
No free strikes, Clarke said in the Luzhniki Stadium. I would like to select up 12 points in the remaining four matches. Obviously it is a one in Russia but there is no strikes.
We owe it to the million or so Tartan Army fans which are coming as well to wear a fantastic performance and go away with three things.
Every match you enter you would like to attain the maximum, which will be three factors. I want a good performance level, Id like a performance level from the next four matches.
My belief is that if your operation level is good enough, then the points will follow.
What this means:
Steve Clarke has admitted that Scotland will not qualify via this group and the play-offs are the only realistic route to Euro 2020. With four games to go, Clarke should mold a team capable of moving of creating a comprehension into the play-offs using assurance, and enjoying in a way that could get results. Russia is toughest of these four matches and the next. The head coach can be demanding victories and says not one of the games will be hits.
Injuries, suspensions and gamers asking to be left out of his squad has hampered his efforts to try to construct a consistent manner of selecting and enjoying teams. Conceding nine goals from the past 3 matches, despite all of the games being against Belgium, shows Clarke needs to increase his side. The team are not providing enough of a target hazard and have also only scored once in these three matches.
Scotland have players from the group performing well for their clubs and playing in the maximum level in England – moving that is proving difficult just now. Have the opportunity. Scotland are under pressure to be eligible given also a meeting with England is about the cards in the finals and Hampden Park is a sponsor venue if equally qualify.
Key battles:
Artem Dzyuba is the captain and significant threat of Russia. He would have felt and even scored the equaliser at Hampden last month. The major striker is going to be a couple for the Scotland defence. Whoever is tasked with marking him will have a game.
Where next:
Scotland return to Hampden to get a game on Sunday against San Marino – that the microstate is ranked as the worst team on the planet in the FIFA rankings. You have 19,000 spare seats and could fit all 33,000 residents of the country inside Hampden. A lacklustre 2-0 win in March at Serravalle has been Alex McLeishs last match in charge and did nothing to construct momentum or confidence. There will be a expectancy and desire to win and win big.
Russia vs Scotland is live on Sky Sports Football on Thursday pm
