The added-time header of armand Gnanduillet finished Blackpool’s winless run and imposed a first league defeat of the year on Doncaster Rovers.
The substitute bundled in Sully Kaikai’s cross from close range to catch the 3 points onto a slog of an evening in the Keepmoat Stadium.
Blackpool, who had gone five games prior to the match, were, denying Doncaster the space they craved.
Whenever was shut Rovers carried the ball right into opposition territory and it made for a frustrating day with few chances for either side.
The Ryan Hardie of blackpool attracted a fine save from Ian Lawlor from the border of the box while, at the end, Niall Ennis saw a shot deflected wide.
After the break, Ben Whiteman was refused by Jak Alwick with a good response save and after intercepting Lawlor’s pass out from the back, Blackpool’s Ryan Hardie failed to take advantage.
Curtis Tilt denied Ennis online, paving the way for the late heroics of Gnanduillet.
