Top Three Soccer Picks for Matchday 1 of the Premier League

The wait will be over. The Premier League is finally back! While Spain and Germany restart following week and Italy the next week, additionally, it suggests that my weekly column of betting chooses creates its return!
Football bettors rejoice!
For new readers, I place this column each Friday and set out my favorite collections across the European soccer world (of reasonable value;??I won’t include anything in the -200 vicinity) and usually outline some news, notes and trends that have grown over the leagues. My focus is normally Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and also Ligue 1, but I’ll throw in the occasional Eredivisie or even Liga NOS picks sometime??also.
France’s Ligue 1 begins this weekend as well, however I’m going to use this week’s column to get a trio of all Premier League picks.
The Premier League is going to be deep. Yes, we have got the six, but clubs like Everton, Wolves, Leicester, Watford and West Ham can, on paper , put some fear into these bigger clubs and also produce the table interesting.
Important to note always: all the time that it’s in your very best interest to create your stakes AFTER beginning XI’s have been declared. These come out about one hour before kickoff, but personnel can change everything. Always have a contingency plan or remain away from betting a??game completely when a star??player or two are dropped from the starting lineup.
Don’t drive anything and always stay current on participant and manager notes and news.
Also, the first few weeks can be hard. What has changed within a club over the summer break? Is that fresh move going to pan out from the Premier League? Who is this new manager? Sometimes it might be best to wait for a few games before you start betting so you can get a sense of any particular team.
That’s my advice for you. Me? I’m gont jump into headfirst this week and I have three Premier League stakes all lined up.
Here is hoping we begin with a bang! Let us go!
As always, odds courtesy Bovada.
Wolves, the darlings of many a casual Premier League viewer along with lots of a footy bettor looking for an underdog play this past season, start the new campaign on the road at Leicester. Though the underdog 1X2 price of +260 seems pretty good, my drama here will be OVER 1.0 goal for Wolves at +120.
First things first: they had been consistently far better against teams that dominated ownership, letting their opponents”think” they were having their way, even playing”their match ” But in fact, anglers were in their greatest in this exact spot then pouncing on mistakes using a blistering counter-attack that frequently yielded pretty soccer as well as prettier goals.
This is a big part of the rationale I’ll be financing the Wolves OVER 1 into their opener. Leicester finished eighth in the Premier League in ownership last season (50.8%) and this should possibly allow anglers to sit back and play their match.
But another huge issue for Leicester is the simple fact that their best center back, Harry Maguire, has been sold to Manchester United with no replacement coming from. What does that mean for the middle of their backline? Well, more than likely, we will watch Jonny Evans and ??aglar S??y??nc?? and while the latter played a few solid minutes every year, I simply don’t find them doing enough to maintain Wolves off the plank.
The Foxes won this fixture 2-0 last year, but Wolves got revival in January using a 4-3 goal-fest in the reverse fixture. I am not implying we see seven goals in this but??that I surely don’t see Wolves being kept off the scoresheet. I expect this team to be fraught with confidence to open the entire year.

Man, did anyone in the Premier League have a much worse transfer window than Crystal Palace? Also, you may create a case that Everton had just one of the best five windows.
Palace will be a disaster this year. They offered asserting young fullback Aaron Wan-Bissaka and basically did nothing with all the money that they got for him. Who did they bring in? Well, it is a veritable who’s who of boring Premier League players: Jordan Ayew, James McCarthy and Gary Cahill direct the underwhelming collection of incomings.
I can talk about how I enjoy the loan??move for midfielder Victor Camarasa out of Real Betis, but it is irrelevant. I like OVER 2.5 at +115 within this one and also once I glance at the possible Everton XI, I really wouldn’t be shocked if the Toffees take care of the number themselves.
Everton could have an attack that features Richarlison, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Alex Iwobi and Moise Kean on Saturday, the latter two coming from Arsenal and Juventus respectively. That is a fairly great quartet directly there, folks.
Just a couple of the past four Premier League meetings between those two would have eclipsed 2.5 and this fixture last year generated a drab 0-0 competition but it did return 22 efforts by the people.
Sure, it’s always tricky in the first weeks in regards to betting, but I’ll tell you that much: I’ll be looking to play against Palace at every turn this season and a large reason for this is a deficiency of center backs the likes of Maguire. I think Everton includes a field day here but that I wouldn’t be amazed to see Palace hit the board. So I will take OVER 2.5.

If you read my column on Premier League Futures Bets, you’ll notice I enjoy Brighton to have relegated this year. I don’t expect much out of this team and I am gonna try fading them in their opener out to Watford this weekend.
I like Watford a great deal. They have the capability and personnel to play some attractive football and score some big wins and money wagers with decent costs attached. Like this place at -110.
The Hornets stack the Center of the pitch into their 4-2-2-2 creation and boast gifted players such as Troy Deeney, Gerard Deulofeu, Roberto Pereyra and Abdoulaye Doucour??. Additionally, they included exciting wide player Isma??la Sarr from Stade Rennais as well as experienced forward Danny Welbeck. I already liked the setup here but with a potential along with a veteran coming , Watford has really filled out some detail.
Brighton doesn’t really bring much to the table, but did include some interesting pieces to the mix like Neal Maupay, Leandro Trossard and underrated midfielder Aaron Mooy. Still, I believe they’re totally outclassed in this one, especially at Vicarage Road.
Almost a year ago to this day, Watford won this fixture 2-0 thanks to a brace from Pereyra, that actually faces a late fitness test when he is to feature??for Javi Gracia. However, I believe the Hornets are able to bag a win in the front of the home crowd and get their season off into a buzzing beginning.
On this note, I will end this week’s column.
