Rangers director of football Mark Allen to leave club

Rangers have announced that director of football Mark Allen will leave after two years at Ibrox.
Allen advised Rangers he believes it’s the right time for him to explore career alternatives and to move on for family reasons, along with the club accepted his choice.
He joined the team and has been instrumental in selecting Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard as recruiting and manager Ryan Kent from the Reds in their history.
Gerrard said:”I want to express my sincere gratitude to Mark for its incredible service he has shown me and all my team since I came into the club 16 months ago.
“Mark’s success here is clear for everyone to see and we would like to wish him well moving ahead.”
Allen added:”It’s been a privilege to use for Rangers, one of the greatest clubs in soccer with such a phenomenal fan base, and I’ve loved every moment.
“Bringing Steven Gerrard to the club will probably stay a particular point in my career and I would like to thank himthe players and the fantastic staff in Rangers for his or her service.
“My greatest wish would be for Rangers to begin winning trophies again and that I wish them the absolute best for the future”
Managing director Stewart Robertson said:”On behalf of the Board, I want to thank Mark for his work.
“We’re not able to lose him we love the impact he made and that he leaves Rangers at a much better place than when he arrived.
“Losing a man of his calibre is a blow but the clinics that he set in place at the club will stand us in good stead for the long run. We wish Mark well in his future career.”
